Warm greetings to you all.

We are very excited to be heading to Rotorua this week for our WPA Principals' Retreat. We look forward to seeing those who will be attending the event from Wednesday.

We have a great selection of speakers for our WPA members to enjoy with a focus on being Courageous Leaders.

I hope your term is going well and that you have made time to vote to decide whether or not we will be pursuing Strike action. In talking with my teaching staff it sounds like we may have an interesting time ahead.

Thank you for your support of the WPA as we have some exciting events planned for you this year.

Brisbane Study Tour 2023

The Waikato Principals Association are leading their Annual Study Tour to Brisbane (Australia) from Wednesday 2 August until Saturday 5 August . The tour will start on Wednesday with a meet and greet session over dinner and visits to local Brisbane schools on Thursday 3 Aug. On Friday and Saturday members will attend the National Education Summit for educators and leaders. This conference will offer up to date, meaningful and innovative content for school leaders including: Diverse Learners Symposium, STEM across the curriculum and wellbeing for future focused schools.

More information will be shared at our Rotorua Retreat. Put it in your calendar now and stay tuned to our Monday mailings for more information. In the meantime, you can register for the National Education Summit by clicking here . Also feel free to start booking your flights. The WPA fee will support: Accomodation, Dinner Wednesday / Thursday night, School tours Thursday and travel to and from the conference.
