Moe mai rā e te Kuini Irihapeti te tuarua, moe mai

May Queen Elizabeth II rest in peace.
E ngā tumuaki o te rohe o Waikato, tēnā tātou
katoa.
Greetings to you all as we approach the end of term 3.
It has been another challenging term as we have continued to work in an environment that reflects a teacher shortage crisis, ongoing Covid challenges (particularly at the beginning of the term) and staff illness and absence. Now that the Covid traffic light system has been discontinued we hope that we can now return to some sense of normality, even though Covid-19 is still present within our communities. I hope the remainder of your term goes well.
The WPA's final Connections Day in association with Sport Waikato is being held on Thursday the 3rd November, next term. Registrations are now open on the WPA website and a flyer about this event can also be found below the Connections Day registration link. This event is open to Tumuaki and Sport's leaders within your school, along with any staff member who is passionate about Sport.
Kia pai ō koutou wiki,
Lesley

Caring personally while challenging directly - is guidance that’s both clear, kind, specific and sincere. The antidote to toxic cultures, it’s a simple concept that is not always easy to practice.

TTS – Leadership Event
After losing so many opportunities to see you kanohi ki te kanohi, TTS and
friends are excited to invite you to a free, in-person event for school
leadership.
Starting at 10am and including lunch, these one-day events will take place across Event Cinema locations in Hamilton, Tauranga, and Auckland this October.
At these events, we will reflect on the challenges and lessons of the last few years, recap accomplishments and learnings that came out of navigating ambiguity with creativity, and celebrate the future of teaching and learning by connecting with one another face-to-face as we look ahead to the changes on the horizon.
Check out the event website to learn about our speakers and find a date and location that work for you.

We hope to see you there!
