HAPPY TERM 2!

A message from Lesley

Tēnā tātou katoa,
Ngā mihi mahana ki a koutou.  Warm greetings to you all.
Welcome to Term 2 and I hope that you were able to have a restful holiday break.  It was such a busy term for principals last term that some much-needed rest and relaxation was definitely warranted.

We are pleased to move forward this term with some exciting up-and-coming WPA events.
On May 13th the NZPF executive has invited Waikato principals to attend an informal get-together at The Cook bar and restaurant at 7 Cook Street in Hamilton East.  The NZPF executive is hosting this event and will be at The Cook from 3 pm.  We hope that you are able to attend as this is an opportunity for you to meet the NZPF President and executive members and discuss with them any issues that you may wish to talk about.  If you are able to attend, please register at the link in the Monday mailing below.
The WPA executive members will also be visiting some of our Waikato communities outside of Hamilton to meet with principal colleagues in an informal setting.  These 'Meet the Executive - In a Waikato town near you' visits are planned for Friday 20th May after school, and it is hoped that we can get together in a social setting and enjoy each other's company.  Information about these visits will be sent directly to your inbox later in the week.
Our Term 2 Connections Day is being held on Thursday 16th June with Shay Wright.  You can read about Shay on the WPA website and register for this event there as well.  We are excited to be able to listen to Shay's inspiring message at this event.

A reminder that WPA subs are due now and these can also be paid on the WPA website.

We are looking forward to making stronger connections with and between our members this term after such a long time with limited interactions due to Covid-19.
Have a great start to Term 2 and we look forward to meeting up with you soon.
Ngā manaakitanga,

Ngā manaakitanga,
Lesley

NZPF Visit

NZPF have been heartened by the tremendous leadership of WPA colleagues and see their visit as one way to acknowledge the great community of professionals in the Waikato. We’d love a great turn-out as it assists enormously to build a real sense of the issues that NZPF need to advocate for in Wellington. Please register via the WPA website.
