Happy Term 4! I trust this finds you well. For those of you in level 2, I hope that school has had a brilliant start! For those of you in level 3 – hang in there! There seems to be a lot of confusion in the sector about the mandated vaccinations and who this applies to within schools. I have included some helpful information in the Learning Lab section which will hopefully clarify some of this.

Linewize

With remote learning continuing for many schools communities, Linewize is providing online safety solutions and resources to help support our schools and families.

Support for Schools/Kura

'Safer Students at Home'

Delivered via schools, Linewize has created a program that provides students with a safer and more learning-focused home environment. The program allows schools and parents to monitor and protect all student devices, helping ensure they are safe on any network, including home wifi.

Register your school's interest in the program and find out more information here.

"Linewize has proven invaluable during lockdown to keep students safe and focused while they're learning from home. Our teachers use Classwize to keep tamariki on track during remote lessons, and I'm able to use School Manager to protect the devices we've sent home and identify risky behaviours for timely intervention and support."

HERO

A Note from Hero HQ

We hope that you all had a relaxing break following a challenging Term 3! Sadly the WPA events have been unable to go ahead and we were very much looking forward to being part of the wonderful Connections Day planned. We are thinking of you all very much as you continue to navigate the challenges Covid presents.

We are feeling incredibly fortunate to be in an industry which can continue to thrive in an online environment. We wanted to share a few Heroic updates with our WPA network here to keep you in the loop with what is happening at Hero HQ (spanning August - October). Click here to dive into the full article!

There have been many heroic wins shared, peaks reached, goals ticked off, and plenty of cake along the way. Just recently, we have celebrated being named in Holon IQ’s Top 50 Most Promising EdTech Solutions across Australia and New Zealand, as well as being identified as the fastest growing Student Management System in New Zealand in these MoE released statistics.

Our passion lies in delivering a practical, user friendly solution that supports schools in driving future focussed pedagogy. The schools with whom we work share this passion for innovation, and have joined forces with us on this journey. Through these relationships, an incredibly talented team and a lot of hard work, Hero has grown to support more and more schools in New Zealand, New South Wales and South East Asia.
