Happy Week 10 – I hope you all have a smooth end of term. No doubt you have all checked your provisional staffing – there were definitely a few surprises for lots of colleagues that I have spoken to!

Tēnā tātou katoa
As we approach the end of term 3, I want to acknowledge the hard work and amazing effort that Waikato Principals have put into term 3. It hasn't been the easiest of terms with the challenges of 'lockdown'; as well as transitions to Alert Level 3 and then Alert Level 2. Many of you will be busy working on your school staffing and budgets for 2022 as term 4 approaches. It is a busy time of year for principals and I hope the next term goes smoothly for all of you.
You deserve a well earned rest and some time for rejuvenation over the term break.
We have a couple of exciting WPA events coming up in term 4, including our next Connections Day on the 11th November with Janelle Riki-Waaka and our WPA end of year dinner. Keep an eye on the newsletter to find out more about these events.
In the meantime, stay safe and well.
Kia haumaru te noho.
