Kia Ora,
I hope that this finds you well. I know that the move to Alert Level 3 while it is a step in the right direction can be difficult to see the forest for the trees as we navigate the rules and regulations of what this will look like within our schools. Don’t forget we are all here to help and this Monday Mailing Resource is Principals supporting Principals – so if you have something that you feel would support others please send this through to me so I can share it with your colleagues. Huge thank you to Hamish Fenemor for sharing in our last two Monday Mailings – I have had great feedback that people have found the resources helpful.

A message from Lesley
Tēnā tātou katoa,
Ngā mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa.
Many of you will be extremely busy preparing your school for Alert Level 3 learning bubbles. A shift in Alert Levels is always a busy time for principals and our thoughts are with you as you work hard to survey parents, brief staff, prepare your school sites and organise the communication required for your learning communities. These are challenging times. In my school context, as in many others, we are busy deciding which school events we will cancel and which ones will be rescheduled once we return to business as usual.
Today, the WPA Executive made the difficult decision to postpone the study tour to Otago which was due to take place from September 14th to 17th. While the idea of a visit to schools in Otago and the camaraderie of colleagues is fine, the Covid-19 situation has meant that our travel to the South Island at this time is problematic. We will review this and hope that a similar study tour can take place next year.
In the meantime, stay safe and well in your bubbles.
