Enrolment Schemes
Kia ora Koutou
Many of you now find yourself in a position that you have had, or about to have an enrolment scheme placed on your Kura. What does that mean? and how do you implement that! If its your first time through the process, then about now you need to be discussing with your Board what positions for Out-of-Zone students you may have, at each of the individual Year Levels and how are you going to advertise these positions to your community. Even if you don’t have spaces for Out-of-Zone enrolments, you still need to be advertising this by 15th September.
Attached is a Summary of Deadlines and Responsibilities, along with the Instructions for operating an Enrolment Scheme….good luck with this, Enrolment Schemes where changed in the last round of changes to the Education Act effectively giving the Ministry the power to enforce an Enrolment Scheme. While I would hope that our local office will work with schools in establishing Enrolment Schemes, be under no illusion, they can now enforce one to manage their network of schools.
Have a great week and remember to vote!
