Principals supporting Principals… Principals supporting Principles!

Please find this week’s Monday Mailing below.
As we come close to the end of the term there is still many issues unresolved in education. While there was definite leadership shown with Christchurch you have to wonder where is the leadership around education.
But do not despair I have heard that the $150 per pupil grant is in the next operational fund. Teachers will get a 16% pay increase over the next 3 years, teachers are getting an extra 4 days a year CRT, year 4-6 classes will be staffed on a ratio of 25 and the MOE is going to be restructured so more money is going directly to schools. All this will be announced by the Minister outside Parliament today April the 1st.
Remember to get your staff who are NZEI members to vote on the pay offer options.
Have a great week.
Kind regards
Tony Mangan
