From the Ministry Bulletin
Thought we should draw attention to you all around the following things in the current Ministry Bulletin;
Charters, planning and reporting - Guidelines for 2019
- Within the overview sent out is a series of great questions that can be used in reviewing and developing charters and annual plans, note the inclusion of the wider term iwi into gathering aspirations and reporting
2018 Decile Reviews
If you wanted to challenge your new decile rating for 2019 (we have another year or two of decile funding until changes are implemented) these close on 24th September with the two main reason given for completing a review;
and something found hidden in the recommendations from Office of the Auditor General - Gifts and leaving functions that conflict with current school policy. What does your policy say and does it give scope for the board to “show their appreciation” for long serving staff members, especially within senior leadership?
All this information can be found in the FISH (Financial Information for Schools Handbook) document - this use to be a folder in every Principal Office, but now hidden online on a clunky website. Has been a while since I read all the MoE Financial Guidelines, when did you last look?
Enjoy reading!
Coming up connections day; profile.
