A message from the Property Forum
Key Take Away / Action for Principals
The new system that has replaced PMIS Helios is now up and running for all schools in the Waikato Region. This will be a one stop place for all your property information moving forward. This will house all projects, maps and condition reports completed for all schools.
Principals will need to apply for access to be able to utilise Helios, this is done by;
Please don’t shoot the messenger, it will take a bit of time to sort out, and it will be another password and access to another system for us. Just remember that your Project Managers and/or Architects helping with 5ya/10ypp will also need access to this for your school. You will need to inform your SPA (School Property Advisor) if you have had a change in personnel/company who is working with your school.
The other Key Point is around 5ya/10ypp planning, you will require to complete conditioning reporting when you enter your new 5ya. The hard part will be accessing trades people to complete this in our region, I would suggest some forward planning will be required around this to ensure you are able to access your 5ya when you enter the new agreement period. This will certainly help you maximise your bang for buck at the start of 5ya periods.
