Principals supporting Principals… Principals supporting Principles!
Kia Ora
Please find this week’s Monday Mailing below.
Hope you all had a restful break over the last two weeks.
Your new communication officer
Pat has kindly handed over the responsibility of the Monday Mailing. I realise he is going to be a hard act to follow because he has done an excellent job for a long while. I ask you all to be patient with me as I learn the ropes. If you want something to be included in the MM then it needs to be in the Friday before. Send to principal@glenview.school.nz. Thanks Tony Mangan

Rant – Rave a new beginning …
The Monday mailing is an important tool for communication for the WPA. When surveyed last year the Rant- Rave section, was a popular segment of the Monday Mailing. Pat has done a fine job of sharing his opinion on issues that he saw as impacting on all aspects of education. I am sure we all have opinions relating to what is happening in education, positive and negative. We often share these in our informal social groups. It is important however we get to share and hear what others are thinking.
I would like the Rant-Rave section of the Monday mailing to become an open forum for all Principals to share their viewpoints on what is happening in education. So when you hear a colleague sharing what they think about an issue tell them to send it in to the Monday Mailing These will be published anonymously if writers want, and on the understanding that these are not the opinions of the WPA. Remember this is election year! New policies will be coming out from the many political parties, it would be good to see what people are thinking about them.

A Reading… About that kid
A great, short read to share with teachers…

A Thought… Leadership
A Laugh
A woman and her husband interrupted their vacation to go to the dentist.
"I want a tooth pulled, and I don't want any pain killers because I'm in a big hurry," the woman said. "Just extract the tooth as quickly as possible, and we'll be on our way."
The dentist was quite impressed. "You're certainly a courageous woman," he said. "Which tooth is it?"
The woman turned to her husband and said, "Show him your tooth, dear."
